The Parthenon and Centennial Park Conservancy are proud to present Red Arrow – Show Up!, a group show in the East Gallery of the Parthenon through Sunday, June 5.
The exhibition celebrates Nashville’s Red Arrow Gallery, founded in 2014 with an ongoing mission to nurture the work and careers of emerging artists. Reflecting on the exhibition’s title, Shaw notes that to “show up” is “to bear witness to another's joy, sorrow, and emotion, validating an experience or event. Showing up solidifies relationships and creates community, proving we are not alone.” She concludes that Red Arrow’s mission is to “quickly respond to what’s happening in the global art scene, to encourage artists to experiment freely, and to educate art enthusiasts and collectors about new work” while creating “an environment that is both risk-taking and welcoming for artists, collectors, and art appreciators alike.”
