Classroom Resources
Are you an educator seeking new ideas for your classroom? The Nashville Parthenon is always developing new educational resources for K-12 students on archaeology, history, social studies, and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) subjects. We work closely with MNPS (Metro Nashville Public Schools) to align state education standards with our programs and lesson plans, which can be used on their own or to extend the learning of a field trip. The variety of resources below are all open to adaptation to best fit your curriculum. All educational resources are free!
For virtual field trips, see Virtual Education Programs.

STEAM Expedition to the Parthenon
Each year, the Parthenon applies to Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) STEAM to partner for activated field trips that combine a STEAM letter + core subject + one of the four Cs: creativity, communication, collaboration, or critical thinking. The resources include a packet that combines all documents needed for teacher information, program goals, pre-visit activity, polychromy activity, Architecture Challenge script, and post-visit activities.
STEAM Expeditions to the Parthenon are improved and updated annually, and to reach schools beyond the local district the virtual STEAM Expedition options are also available below.
