8:15-9:45 PM (tickets required)
Centennial Park Conservancy and Friends of Metro Dance will present the new work “Orpheus Reimagined” by Duncan Dance South and Portara at the Parthenon in Centennial Park. For this project we are excited to partner with the artists Duncan Dance Project and Portara Ensemble to present an original program of new and reconstructed dance and music works created for the unique space of Nashville’s Parthenon. Isadora Duncan, an early 20th century modern dance pioneer, created many dance works using Greek mythology as inspiration and famously danced at the original Parthenon in Greece.
