Repatriation and Its Impact
Repatriation and Its Impact is a new exhibit exploring and celebrating repatriation in museums, featuring the Parthenon’s own collection of Pre-Columbian artifacts.
By tracing the history of Repatriation efforts and the societal impacts, Repatriation and Its Impact aims to engage visitors with an issue facing museums and communities around the world: looting in the art and antiquities trade.
To emphasize the importance these artifacts hold for their community, the exhibit also features new artwork created by José Véra González, a Mexican artist now residing in Nashville.
