MNPS STEAM Night

Visit the Parthenon from 4:30-6:30 PM

for STEAM Night!

Free admission for Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) students and their entire families. Simply inform museum staff you are a MNPS family for free admission.

All MNPS families are invited to come see our newest exhibitions:  

Looking Back — 125 Years After the Tennessee Centennial Exposition, open through January 8, 2023

The Odyssey: A Retelling by Lisa Bachman Jones, open through January 8, 2023

Each STEAM Night will feature artist Lisa Bachman Jones, who is also a MNPS art teacher!

DURING STEAM NIGHT YOU CAN:

  • Meet artist Lisa Bachman Jones and hear about her artwork in The Odyssey: A Retelling from 4:30-6:30 PM

  • Learn from museum experts at the Art Cart from 4:30-6:30 PM

  • Join a 5 PM Architecture Tour with museum docents

  • Join a 6 PM Museum Tour with museum docents

  • Visit the temporary exhibition Looking Back celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition

  • See the colossal statue of Athena

  • Explore the inside of an ancient Greek temple replica

  • Build an architectural masterpiece at the Experimental Archaeology Station

  • Solve a mythology map puzzle at the Mythology Map Station

  • Take a break or read a STEAM topic book at the Research Station

  • Find out what’s brand new in the Kidsville Activity Corner

  • Listen to a free Exterior Architecture Audio Tour in English, Spanish, or Arabic
