About LGBTQ History Walking Tours:
Nashville Queer History founder Sarah Calise (she/they) will guide attendees through a one-mile walk around the park and the Parthenon, a new feature of the June 2024 tour. Attendees will explore stories of queer suffragists, cruising culture, queer music, trans soldiers, and early Nashville Pride protests and parades.
Tour Information:
Meet-up location: Tennessee Woman Suffrage Monument inside Centennial Park
Meet-up time: 10:00 AM (tour starts at 10:15 AM)
Tour estimated end time: 12:00 PM
This tour is rain or shine, unless weather is severe.
The tour will stay on the paved pathways. Attendees have the option of entering grassy areas for photographs. Otherwise, this is a wheelchair and mobility-aid accessible tour.
Pay what you can: $1.00, $2.00, $5.00, or more. There is a donation option at checkout. At least $1.00 must be entered to reserve a ticket. 100% of the proceeds of this tour will be donated to Trans Aid Nashville.
