CENTENNIAL PARK IS A NASHVILLE TREASURE
On the prestigious list of the National Register for Historic Places, Centennial Park is one of America's official cultural resources worthy of preservation. Located on West End and 25th Avenue North, this 132 acre park sits in the middle of Nashville and contains buildings and monuments that both maintain historical integrity and are, in many cases, one-of-a-kind architecturally.
Nashville's central park features the iconic Parthenon, a one-mile walking trail, Lake Watauga, the Centennial Art Center, historical monuments, Musicians Corner, an arts activity center, a beautiful sunken garden, a band shell, an events shelter, sand volleyball courts, a dog park, and an exercise trail. Thousands of people visit the park each year to visit the museum, see exhibits, attend festivals, and just enjoy the beauty of the park.
Extensive efforts are currently underway to restore Centennial Park's prominence as a place that champions arts and culture, music, history, education, environment and health and wellness. An unprecedented Master Plan was shepherded by The Conservancy to preserve the park's unique elements while making it a leader in landscape stewardship and innovation.
